Sliding Sash Windows
Traditional Charm, Modern Performance
Sliding Sash windows from Mumford & Wood combine traditional, distinctive styling with the benefits of modern engineering, delivering exceptional durability, longevity, and timeless appeal. Expertly manufactured from sustainably sourced timber, our timber Sliding Sash windows are suited to a wide range of properties, from contemporary new builds to period homes where preserving authentic features and architectural character is essential.

Spring Sash Windows
In conservation areas, and in more modern buildings where the structure cannot accommodate the rebate of the traditional box sash, but where the spring balance is not considered visually authentic, we have designed a simple box cover that completely conceals the spring balance. This allows the vertical sliding sash window to be even more in keeping with traditional appearance and has the added advantage of allowing quick, easy and efficient maintenance.

Box Sash Windows
A favourite with architects, planning authorities and preservation societies, the Box Sash uses a traditional system of cords, weights, and heavy-duty ball-bearing pulleys and pre-stretched nylon cords. Distinctive deep moulded internal profiles are available in a variety of options with elegant glazing bars to match whichever style you choose.
