Suffolk Self-Build Home Celebrates Craftsmanship & Character Mumford & Wood
“There was no hesitation using Mumford & Wood for our own home, having worked with the brand on numerous commercial projects.”

The Project

With nearly a decade of experience specifying Mumford & Wood products on commercial builds, self-builder Mr Keeble didn’t need to deliberate when it came to choosing timber windows and doors for his own home.

“I started my firm 10 years ago and have been working with Mumford & Wood for nine of those. I’ve had poor experiences with other timber window suppliers in the past, so now I always recommend Mumford & Wood based on consistent quality and service.”

Set within a tranquil four-acre plot in the Suffolk countryside, Mr Keeble’s dream home has been four years in the making. The project involved demolishing an old bungalow and smallholding, providing the freedom to design a home from the ground up, one that balances clean sightlines, natural materials, and timeless architecture.

The result is a striking yet sensitive family residence, showcasing Mumford & Wood’s signature craftsmanship throughout.

“I’ve always appreciated the attention to detail in both product and service. The team mirrors my mindset of getting things done to a high standard, and that’s why we’ve worked together for so many years.”

Flush Casement Windows

A classic selection of Flush Casement windows finished in Pure White were installed across the property. Featuring Georgian-style 18mm astragal bars, they offer elegant symmetry and beautifully complement the mix of brickwork, render, and cladding on the façade.

Entrance Door

Positioned to the side elevation, a Hadleigh-style Entrance door in a soft Olive Grey finish adds a sophisticated contrast to the cladding and creates a warm, welcoming feel in this part of the home.

French Doors

To the rear, a feature set of French doors opens directly onto an expansive patio, an ideal space for family gatherings and outdoor entertaining. The doors help frame views of the countryside and seamlessly connect the interior to the landscape.
