Project Overview

The goal of the renovation was to preserve the home's original charm while incorporating modern performance standards. This required a careful balance of maintaining the property's character and enhancing its energy efficiency and functionality. Mumford & Wood designed and manufactured a range of bespoke products, including timber French doors, casement windows, spring sashes, and entrance doors, each tailored to meet the specific needs of the space.

A standout feature of the project is the beautiful bay window in the living room. Designed to fill the room with natural light, the window adds an airy and welcoming atmosphere to the space. The timber products were finished in ‘Pure White’, with Lambs Tongue detailing throughout, from Mumford & Wood’s Conservation range. This classic detailing ensures the new elements complement the traditional character of the home, while offering the longevity and efficiency modern materials provide.

One of the most striking aspects of the renovation is the entrance door, which was custom colour-matched to the popular ‘Hicks Blue’ – a deep, sophisticated hue that complements the building’s exterior. The door’s design was completed with a stylish set of Black Octagon door knobs.

The combination of bespoke design, high-quality materials, and expert craftsmanship has not only transformed the home’s aesthetic but also significantly improved its comfort and energy efficiency.
